On 12/31/14, the Warning Claw broke with tradition and bypassed the annual Christmas song, and recorded Auld Lang Syne instead. Nonetheless, you’ll find it on the page Warning Claw Christmas. We did a take to check balances, corrected a few things, and did two takes. Enjoy!
Links to recordings are organized by album, so click the link of the album containing the track you want, and then download it from that location. With the new site, we've added a feature, which is the listing of our complete catalog of tunes on CD.
The Warning Claw is a progressive jam band, with influences ranging from The Allman Brothers and The Grateful Dead to Yes, Pink Floyd, Stravinsky, Debussy, and many other composers, groups, historical periods, and musical styles.
We typically record jams or quickly lay out how the sections will go and record the song in one take. We have gradually developed the habit of doing a sound check before recording, making our more recent output much better balanced.
This is Ezra Morrison. Ezra writes most of our music, plays keyboards, and sings. He also writes all the song lyrics and occasionally plays other instruments such as guitar and percussion.
This is John Morrison. A composer by profession, John picked up an electric guitar in Nashville in 1998. Only after beginning to jam with Ezra has John really played the guitar very much at all. He sometimes plays other instruments, such as keyboards and percussion.
